KMFDM concert was awesome. I knew all of the songs played, and until the mosh pit gravitated over to me, I was less than 10 feet away from the stage and right in front of Kap'n K himself. There were more mohawks in the audience than people, body piercings and black shirts were everywhere, and it's common practice to shout "KMFDM sucks" to get them to come back out for an encore. Read into that what you will.

TigerCon was good. I got what I paid for. As gas to get there and dinner at Cheesecake Factory were my sole expenses, I can't complain. Oh yeah, if you ever go to one, try the Buffalo Blasts, they are deep-fried awesome.

Idea for anime conventions, particularly for overnight video: Video blocks in 3 to 6-hour "themes". One theme idea that came to mind is "WTF are we watching?" where the final decision on what to play rests entirely with whoever's in the driver's seat. Ostensibly, the viewing matter would be either obscure or messed up or both (ideally). Neither "Anime Hell" levels of randomness or planned scheduling. But I'm not going to push that or even take credit for it if someone else uses it; this is as far as I go with it. It's just something to think about.

Meanwhile, they're putting a "Tractor Supply Company" store in the area. Frankly, I'm surprised they haven't already as this is a highly agricultural area. As you can guess from the name, it's main focus is on farmers and ranchers. That said, it's only slightly less useless to me than the "Phantom Fireworks" store next to it, which doesn't permit PA residents from even entering despite being in PA. Go figure. So, given TSC's main clientele, it's not going to have that "there goes the neighborhood" vibe that would come with something like say, a "Waffle House". I wouldn't mind one of those, actually. (Then again I live just far enough away from the whole mess.) Because despite the large number of restaurants right off I-83, making the area something of a Breezewood-lite, it gets to be slim pickings at 2am. Then the only choices for prepared food become either McDonald's, or whatever's at the only gas station left open at that hour, or diving into Giant and heading to the back of the store and hope there's still a turkey sub or two left. (For the record, the turkey subs are clearly the superior choice. I speak from experience.)

I can't help but notice most social networking activity seems to have gravitated over to Facebook.

A bit of cleaning up today. But there's always risks. Such as: Finding items reminding me of [livejournal.com profile] yamikochan right when this song is playing. Or this one. It's a kick in the balls. But I can't give up, gotta keep digging.

Gotta keep going.
