I'm off to work in about... an hour or so. Whee!
In Verizon's seemingly endless quest to annoy me, my house phone has mostly stopped working. So I tested with my cell phone, and anyone that does try to call will get an initial electronic burp noise and then a ring, but it continues to ring even after I pick up. Also I can't make outgoing calls either. Eh, I'll look into this after work, if it's not raining. If that initial noise makes telemarketers stop calling, some good will have come of this. However, if someone does call, the caller ID still works, so I can at least tell if someone did try. In the meantime, my cell phone's the only way to call. Honestly, I'm starting to consider getting one of those internet phones instead.
Much of today was spent sleeping and backing up anime onto dvd-r's. The folder I'm directing my downloads to has swelled to about 100GB over the course of a few months, and I figured that if something happened to that hard drive (or any of them for that matter), it would be an ugly setback. So as of this writing, I'm about halfway done.
Normally I'm not one to play video games a lot, but Burnout 3 is loads of fun, and surely it has made Bump n' Jump a proud grandparent. I've covered quite a bit of ground in it and I'm looking forward to getting the next one, when I get around to that. I only wish that I could have the ability to use my own music instead of the built-in songs. There were a couple good songs in it, but I think it would be a really nice touch to be able to run other cars off the road while listening to Under17 or Kotoko.
I feel like I'm forgetting to do about 15 different things, which isn't unusual. Meh.
