Jan. 16th, 2007 09:34 pmHeh, funny I should mention Anime Expo in my previous entry, as I found out this morning that one of the room blocks had opened up. Yay! So I called and found out it was full. Boo! So I get home and find out they opened up more blocks in other hotels, and wasted no time in making reservations. Yay! Plus the hotel I got is closer to the convention. Again with the yay! There's gonna be three people in the room, so there's room for one more for someone that's interested enough in this endeavor. Next stage is to book the flights. The only kink in the deal is that I'm doing all the work and planning when it's someone else's idea. Not a red flag as the people involved are rather gung-ho for this, but I won't hesitate to pull the plug if things go sour. Cuz I can't justify going to that by myself. Unless like I said before, it was part of a road trip.
About a month ago I bought a cheap air compressor, the kind that people toss in their trunk, cost me maybe $10. I finally try it out. Didn't work. Today I took it apart and found out the motor inside doesn't start unless I give it an inital hand-turn, and even when running it sounded like it was about to die. I thought about stuffing it back together, digging up the receipt and taking it back, but then I figured that the remaining good parts were worth more than the initial $10.
Over the weekend I watched "Digi Charat: Winter Garden". Seriously, what was that supposed to be? It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't what I was expecting from a Digi Charat franchise. On the other hand, an adult Dejiko in a maid outfit justifies everything about the show. But anyway. Next thing you know they're gonna make "Fist of the North Star" super-deformed specials or something like that. Come to think of it, that would be pretty cool.
Ok, enough rambling for now I guess.

Where?

Date: 2007-01-19 05:28 am (UTC)Didja know that the only airplane I've been on was a little puddle-jumper, and that was only as part of a tour (takeoff and land at the same strip)? I thought it was pretty cool, but I've not yet had a need to fly anywhere for travel.
