Yay for power tools, I now have a Sawzall! I foresee much use for it.
Two weeks to AnimeUSA. Sure does creep up the calendar like that. Today's meeting was mostly a work meeting, badge lamination and stuff, and a good time to share tales of past AUSA glories with new staffers that had only recently joined up, some of them not having been to the front lines of convention staffing yet. In comparison, this will be my fifth year staffing AUSA, plus being an attendee for the first two.![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
joeanon, I know you got me beat by those two years, and you know more than I do about all the obstacles this convention has faced in its early days that should have kept it from getting anywhere. Yarr.
My digital camera now has a gigabyte of storage. My CAMERA. Y'know, I remember seeing ads from the early 90s for computer parts, and a 1 gigabyte hard drive cost about a grand way back then. Today I saw BestBuy selling a 400GB for far, far less.
Check out www.abandoned-places.com which is full of interesting stories and pictures about structures that have long outlived their usefulness, some of them having already returned to nature, and a couple still in use, and some inbetween. It's one of those links that I stumble across in my travels.

New Lego store in Tysons Corner, making it that much more convenient for me. Now they offer a "buy pieces by the cup" deal, where you go in, fill up a cup with whatever pieces you want from what they have, and go with that. Nifty.
I just realized that my newest VCR is almost 9 years old now, and in need of new belts. The belts will be here in a couple days. I have Teh Skilz.
I also still have a nagging cough from the whatever bug, most likely a mild cold. The worst of it's long gone, and I expect it to be completely over and done with in the next day or so. Daijoubu-desu.
Over the past few days, I scrounged up some CD burns I made sometime last year, and found that I didn't recognize some of the songs on them. Since I made the CD, I know I have the files on my computer, but I have no idea what the name of some of the songs are. Curious!
Lastly, I offer the Current Music. Enjoy. Lemme know what you all think of downloads from the new site? It's on a different server and stuff and junk and stuff.
Edit: Yanked the Pure Snow PV to make room for other things. If anyone still wants it, I'll post it again another time.
