psipsyWa-hey, I'm on 2nd shift from now on starting on Monday. This will be interesting.

aichan95's spark plugs. It's an easy enough job, and the plugs are available just about everywhere, right? So I stroll into the local Advance Auto with an example plug in hand, like I've done so many times before. Aaaand they don't carry those particular types anymore WHAT. But c'mon, I've been putting in these things for the past zillion miles. I go home, look online, and just about no one seems to have them anymore either. Yeah there's others that'll fit, but when something's worked for the past 300k miles, using something different isn't an idea I'm fond of. Called up the Acura dealership, which didn't list them but their Honda affiliate next door did have them. Got two full sets, and was pondering getting several more. So there, now I have to drive to the dealerships for something I should be able to get at the local parts stores. Bummer.
Lately I've been hanging out in IRC a lot more than I used to. Years ago I was frequently haunting AIM chat rooms, but then those eventually got overrun by spambots and there was no point in going because there were so many spambots that everyone would get pushed into other chatrooms. I should send in one of my lesser-used spare screennames just to see how much of a mess they've become. I'm still on AIM a lot (as many that have seen me being online for days and weeks at a time can attest) but now it's also IRC.
Dunno about going to Japan next year, depends on if everything pans out for that. I would rather that it not go like AX where I ended up buying plane tickets and reserving the hotel room for everyone (of course they paid me back) cuz going to Japan requires quite a bit more money even just for one person. Yeah, folks are gonna need to be rowing their own oars this time. If not, there's always another Epic Road Trip Adventure that can happen. It'll depend on which of The Girls is willing and able to go, which at any given time is usually either one. Either way I'm due for one. Overdue in fact. Oh yes.
