Usually when I have these it's me being a few feet off the ground and moving at a speed somewhat faster than walking.

On Sunday, this one was much different.

For no good reason, I found myself thousands of feet in the air, and moving at a high rate of speed. I could see the skyline of a city. There were no clouds in the sky, and the sun was at its peak. Was I on an airplane? No, I could feel wind. A roller coaster? I don't think any go this high. At this point I was able to reason that I was indeed dreaming. For the fun of it, I went into a dive and used that momentum to climb back up. A barrel roll or two. It was effortless. I enjoyed doing this a few times, then decided to use a conveniently located landing strip to return to ground.

As soon as I touched down, my alarm clock went off.

Later in the day, by virtue of going to an AUSA staff meeting, I buzzed over to Skyline Drive for a bit. I managed to get this picture as a bonus:

Is it the end of the world as we know it? You'd think that after seeing something like that in person, I'd either be dead or radioactive or both. Alas, it's only another difference between a camera built into a phone and a dedicated-purpose camera. More pixels do not automatically mean a better picture.

Due to some recent repairs for [livejournal.com profile] aichan95, I've been conducting a gas mileage test, with curious results. Curious in a good way. More on this later, as the experiment is still in progress.
