siddown and listen to my story, kid

Some of you out there are familiar with a certain story idea that had been rolling around in my head. It eventually became a story that has yet to get an actual title, and the characters have yet to have actual names. The general concept is about a serial killer who is reincarnated in order to attempt a second chance for redemption, but things still go wrong for him. There's a lot of detail I'd like to go into, but I'm afraid that would give away too much. Anyway, it's a project that includes Casey Lou that evolved from a bunch of ideas that mingled together over time.

Perhaps it was a couple years ago, when I was driving somewhere, and Alice Deejay's "Everything begins with an E" was playing, and it brought to mind a potential story about some high school students that were friends, but in a previous life were bitter enemies. They knew this fact in their second life, and decided that it was better to leave the past in the past, make the most of the present, and make hopes for the future. They knew what happened in their past lives no longer meant anything, and in fact they were glad to be out of it. I guess I had drawn a bit of inspiration from the series "Please save my Earth", with the reincarnation thing, but that's about it. Added my own twists to it, and Casey Lou added some good insight to it as well, including suggesting the story take place during the 19th century. Anyway, that's a quick blurb about the story idea.

Picked up the new Mahoromatic DVD because I lack such pointless things as shame. Hey, I liked the show. Nyah. So there.
