Jul. 17th, 2004 02:02 amOtakon and stuff coming up! Only two weeks to go for that. Amazing how time flies. I guess I'm ready, as ready as I'll ever be. It'll be Friday morning, and I'll be "Oh yeah, Otakon is this weekend. I guess I'll go to that instead of work." Well, maybe more planning than that. But it is fun to be able to do that, just up and go with no obligations or expectations. Simply show up, and figure it out from there. I wish I could go to more that way. Except for that time when I went to Anime Central in 2000, that was a complete logistical disaster that was my fault.
Now, there were only one or two times when I stood in line for an autograph at a convention. Koge Donbo makes for another such event. Got my Pita Ten artbook ready to go.
West Virginia gets an anime convention! Yes, we're well on our way to having at least one anime convention in each of the 50 states. I think Alaska is the last holdout. It's all going according to schedule, as predicted in the Dead Sea Scrolls. Of course, if one factors in that Virginia, Florida, and California each have more than their share of conventions, it averages out to one for each state.
Um, I was going to put in an anime review sometime soon, but my anime watching has been very light lately, so nothing new. Although, certain people may be interested in a particular fanservice anime I'm attempting to download. It won't finish tonight, on account of crappy seeding, but I plan on getting it within this weekend.
And watch out, because Croconion is invading my LJ icons!
