Typical blurbishness.
Dec. 16th, 2005 10:09 pmNothing groundbreaking lately, Christmas coming up and all, which means three days more of work next week and I'm off for the rest of the year. But for the almost two weeks I'll be off, I'm still going to be busy for most of it. More cleaning. Yay. But it must be done!
The sound my eyeballs make as they roll around in their sockets seems louder than usual. Ew.
York Anime Club tomorrow! More offerings of Pocky, Bawls, and wafer stick things! More anime! More shenanigans! I'm also going to sneak in AMV Hell 3 somehow, so if anyone wants to show up for that, stop on in. Normally it would be the last weekend of the month, but since that's taken up by New Year's Eve, and the one before would be for Christmas Eve, that wouldn't mean much time for the room usage. So it's going to be tomorrow. Or today, if you don't read this right after I post.
Event for the day: As I was perusing the automobile section on the magazine racks at Borders, someone starts up a conversation about the new Bugatti which can reach 250MPH, for sale for only about 1.3 million dollars, as featured on one of the magazine covers. Friendly fellow, so we talked about cars awhile, then he asked me what I did for a living. Semiconductor equipment repair, and I think he was waiting for me to ask what he did. Then he was saying about how he and his wife were doing well at their business, and ready to retire early, and then when the conversation slowed down, he hesitated a bit and then went into how he was running a portal business, buying and reselling stuff online, AKA a pyramid scheme. He was probably about to ask me if I was interested in joining it, but I beat him to the punch by saying that some people have a mind for business, I'm just not one of them. Dammit, all that just to try to sell me something. Wasting my time when I could have been checking out the cute girl reading manga nearby. Things like that get my goat, should I have one in the first place.
No dreams to speak of lately, it's not to say that there haven't been any, it's just none really worth mentioning. No strange creatures to pet, no decrepit structures to explore.
