Oh heck, oh crumbs
Apr. 20th, 2006 12:29 amAlrighty, my G4 PowerBook is kaput for the next week or so. It will need a new screen and logic board, and combined with labor, the bill would be close to two grand. Glad I don't have to pay that. Sometimes extended warranties are a waste of money, sometimes it's an investment. What this means that if it doesn't show up by the last Saturday of this month, the York Anime Club will be having a special DVD-only day. I have the material to support that, and I'm not afraid to use it. Unless someone has a laptop they'd be willing to lend for a few hours, in which case that would be greatly appreciated.
And I wanted to show some .avi goodies, too. Such as Dai Mahou Touge, which is a pure riot, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, which is one of the creepiest shows that ever found its way to my eyes. I mean, it's one of the few shows or movies I ever saw that gave me the shivers. Do any of you have any idea how rare of an occurence that really is? So yeah, I'm watching more of this as it comes out.
Ah what else have I watched... Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi is also one of the better shows of the new season, the first episode has a very Ed Wood feel to it. The title character is also insane, and I respect that a lot.
Disgaea: This is based on the game, which I haven't played. The fact that it's an anime based on a game is what raises a red flag, but I'm willing to give this a chance.
Rozen Maiden: I've heard a lot of good things about this from a lot of people, and I gotta say, it lives up to the hype. I could easily sit down and watch the rest of it, if I felt up to it.
Sometime last week, on my way to work, I passed a large truck with a flatbed trailer, and strapped to the trailer, were a pair of bicycles. I don't know, maybe that was overkill?
Ok, now I'm done.
