(no subject)

Sometime last month, it would be five years ago that I got laid off from my old job. And then a couple weeks after that, I started this journal.

Got my laptop back! Now I can do really reckless things, like picking it up or tilting the screen without it freezing. They also extended the warranty by another couple months. Took two weeks and they never bothered to replace the "b" key, but hey, new screen and new logic board at no cost to me. Except losing all the stickers I put on the top, since they probably just slapped on a new top half. And having to deal with Windoze in the meantime. But I keep yonder Windoze box for good reasons, for it can do things like doujin games. And video files encrusted encoded in weird codecs. And whatever other #2's the Internet supplies. Next project is dusting off my old G3 laptop and get that operational again. Ah, if I could combine the physical toughness of my G3 and the power of my G4. Short of designing and building a new case for it, anyway.

My webhost for my cardboardshrine.com site sent me happy news that they've quadrupled my available bandwidth and web space. o_o Two years ago my site had 400MB set aside for it, and I thought that was the bomb diggity. Now I'm up to about 15GB?

Trying to think of what I have going on this weekend... There's something, to be sure. Or just lots of sleep. That's always a valid option.
