Jan. 14th, 2007 01:08 amThe little cooling fans on my laptop get noisy from time to time, the familiar sound of bearings wearing out. This is a bad omen, as replacing them entails literally disembowling my laptop. It's an operation I'm not looking forward to. I'll do it myself if need be, but I'd much rather not.
After a very successful experiment, the ringtone from "Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan" is now on my phone as well. Y'know, the one that goes off during the movie theater scene? Yep, that one. Bwahahah! I also have the opening bit from Kotoko's "Short Circuit" set as an alert sound, same as with my laptop. This phone still needs some tweaking but it's getting there.
Once again I spent Saturday evening doing overtime at work. Maybe I fail at a social life, but at least I'm earning money in the process. It's not bad going in at that hour, though. There's hardly anyone there to be in the way, so it enables me to take care of a few things that I wouldn't normally get done otherwise.
Ah I wish I could record thoughts straight from my brain for later use. Everytime I get a bunch of thoughts rolling through my head, I'm in a position where I can't write them down or record them (tho I should see if my little mp3 player can do that? I think it can) but when I get home and fire this up, there's few thoughts beyond "hurr eat sleep anime". Discouraging. But I do manage to remember bits and pieces, and over time I save up enough of them for an entry with some philosophical meat to it. Inbetween those entries, it's pretty much "hurr eat sleep anime" and sometimes some pretty pictures thrown in for good measure. But it's all good.
Plans are forming for going to Anime Expo this year; I just wish they'd post some information about their hotels so I can make some reservations and figure out flights already. Otherwise I'll be tempted to give up and use my vacation time for that nomadic, non-destination road trip instead. Hm, last time I did that was 1998, so I'm waaaaay overdue for taking a whole week off from work during the summer and just flitting off onto the open highway. Yeah. Anywho, if it were just me going and I had another week of vacation time to work with, I'd combine AX with the road trip For The Win.
