Y'know how you smell something, and it smells familiar but you don't know what? So I'm at work the other day, gluing something together, and I figured it out: Crazy Glue (as well as most cyanoacrylates) smells like apples. Or maybe it's just me.
One random task I took upon myself recently was intentionally taking apart one of my remote controls and cleaned almost 11 years worth of handling funk off the buttons. This was an oddly gratifying task. Unrelatedly, I'm gradually switching over to fluorescent bulbs for the majority of my general lighting. A 10% reduction in light output in exchange for a 70% reduction in power usage seems to be a fair trade to me. I thought about using dimmers, but then I figured dropping in fluorescent bulbs would be a lot less hassle.
But let's get down to brass tacks. So lately I was thinking that my current website package allows for substantial space and bandwidth and with a bit of generosity, I hereby ask if anyone has a need for any webspace and/or some email accounts based on cardboardshrine.com? Naturally I'm going to limit this offer to people I know in some capacity. Requests by people I never heard of that show up out of nowhere will be declined. Nor will I grant requests for what I would consider outrageous requirements. But if you're in need of some ad-free space with FTP access and/or an email addy or two, then we can talk.
