Jun. 10th, 2007 09:31 amMy profile section of this here LJ got a tweak or two, mostly about LJ icon usage (namely how they're up for grabs if anyone wants). Just making sure.
"Paprika": You know how sometimes if you see a preview for a movie and it shows some really awesome scenes but there's nothing else to the movie? Not here. The previews barely scratch the surface of this non-stop visual extravaganza of a headtrip. I could tell that this one was going to rock my socks off, and it did not disappoint. Merging dream-logic with a normal storyline can be difficult to pull off, but Satoshi Kon knows what he's doing. Delightfully surreal, and Susumu Hirasawa's music adds to it. I'm buying this when it comes out on DVD here.
Gadgetry: IR thermometer, just point at the object and push a button. It's not the fanciest one available, and the range is from 0 to 400 F, but it will suffice for most purposes. As such, I found out the internal temperature of this here laptop reaches 150F in spots. Toasty. For the record, my older PB runs almost as hot, but then again that's been modified with a G4 processor, so all bets are off.

aichan95's air-conditioning has been recharged (I had no idea the stuff was NEON YELLOW-GREEN but that's probably the lubricant or a leak tracer that's included). Will return eventually.
