Jun. 22nd, 2007 06:36 pmI've begun packing for Anime Expo which is NEXT WEEK. Because this time, tossing anything and everything into the trunk/backseat of whichever car I take won't be an option. Now is the time to choose wisely. As well as clean out my luggage. Who knows what I shall find? (Answer: A whole lot of crap.) For the record, and for the 150th time, I state that I would have rather driven out there instead if sufficient vacation time permitted.
One of the things I picked up at AMA was a magazine that came with a preview DVD that had the first episode of School Rumble, dubbed in English. It's alright, it's not annoying, it's just... I'm not used to it. I do need to see what the dub of Black Lagoon is like though.
But let's get down to brass tacks. Years upon years ago, at my first job, I worked on 2nd shift, and it was good. Then an opening for a promotion came up, which meant going to 1st shift. At the same time, 14-hour shifts were eating my soul so I wanted a change.
Now, I think I would like to go back to 2nd shift. As it stands, this will happen sometime mid-July. Since I don't really have a "life" in a normal sense and never will, I figure I might as well take advantage of a work schedule that pays me 10% more and lets me wake up at noon. The only drawback I can think of is when it comes time for conventions and taking off on Friday, which I usually do anyway. Eh, I'll find a way around that.
This weekend is shaping up to be mildly hectic. To that end I shall have some dinner first.
