Aug. 4th, 2007 05:09 pmSurprise water leak appears! So earlier this morning I stumble into the bathroom for the usual, and I'm hearing a dripping noise from around the washer. A couple hours later my clothes washer is pulled away from the wall, and there's fittings and hoses and hand tools strewn about. Had to replace both valves and one of the fittings. Luckily I can still do CPVC solvent welding.

yamikochan decides she doesn't need her exhaust heat shield anymore and promptly tries to eject it, an effort hindered by the wiring on one of the sensors in that area. This is also when I'm in the drive-through at a bank. Luckily that was in the shade and I used that to rip the part off once and for all.
Now my leisurely Saturday is shot to hell, I still have grass to mow, and I'm tired and hungry and dirty. But at least I was able to dig into the model train show that's going on this weekend, so it's not a complete loss. There's also the "Pretty Maid Cafe" DVD I picked up (not at the train show). So, I think I shall take care of the remaining tasks that I know of and possibly a few that I don't know of while this laptop chugs along downloading Polyphonica.
