Mar. 28th, 2008 03:55 amTekkoshocon is coming up in two weeks, and Anime Club in two days. These events sure do sneak up on me.
Most of
yamikochan's birthday present already showed up. Yeah, she already knows about her b-day present. Catgirl's out of the bag, y'know? The only thing remaining are the front rotors which were back-ordered and not due to arrive for another week or so. I found another place that does have the particular ones I want (slotted rotors) in stock but then I'd have to pay for shipping. The delay isn't a big deal to me, since I was planning on doing this on a weekend and the next three weekends are entirely inappropriate for this due to either predicted bad weather or scheduling or both. Her current brakes are showing some wear, but it's not urgent yet so this gives me some time to shop around instead of plopping her off for inspection then getting the phone call "oh yeah your car needs new brakes to pass inspection" and then they basically have me by the balls and put on whatever they have in stock or can get that day. This is also something that will need done either way, Epic Road trip or no.
Lately I found my old 35mm film camera. I'm rather tempted to get a new battery for it and slap some film in and snap off some pictures. But I know that for each roll, I only get 24 shots and no way to tell if it turned out right, and no do-overs. Plus not only do I have to pay for the film but I have to pay for developing those rolls when I'm done. It's gonna be hard using that after primarily using a digital camera for the past (almost) five years. Being able to stuff 700 pictures onto a memory stick about the size of my thumbprint has me spoiled.
Ergh, I need to do dishes. But then after that I can have cookies. Or ice cream. Or both!
