aichan95's exhaust. It may not be warm but I'd at least be able to see what I'm doing. I'm driving home from work earlier this evening and all of a sudden RRRROOOOOWWWWWWRRRRRR, which sounds remarkably like an exhaust gasket blowing itself out, at least I hope that's what it is. Damn that was a miserably deafening ride home. I shall blame whoever worked on the exhaust last. Hopefully it'll be less effort than the clutch slave cylinder event from last week. I gotta say, the biggest problem with doing car repairs outside when it's below freezing is that metal tools tend to get cold fast and suck all the heat out of my hands.
Once that's out of the way, I can make one determined push to finish my Christmas shopping. Yey.
Cleanup progress: So far freed up 3 of the 60qt-sized plastic tubs, with potential for more. The empties will not go to waste, as they will be reused for harvesting general clutter. Which will then get sorted through and reduced. I have a strong feeling I'll be making several trips to the recycling place. It's all the way out in York, but I won't mind. I usually make it a point to get out at least once a day, or at least try to, even if it's just a trip to the grocery store. Keeps me from going completely nuts. The only times I don't is when I'm sick or when the weather makes it impossible to do so.
Another thing that'll help is that I went and fixed my iTunes library file, going through and repairing all of the broken tracks. Initially there were about 900 broken links, but much of that was attributed to songs being on external hard drives that weren't plugged in. The rest stemmed from hard drive replacements. But now that's all ready, which means when I start hammering away at the two largest disaster zones (the living room and kitchen) in earnest, I'll put all 11,700 songs on 'shuffle' and have my own personal radio station of awesome.
That being said, techno/dance mixes are good for this and I'm always game for suggestions.
Some cleaning was already done in the kitchen although the difference is nearly imperceptible to normal people. But the difference is there! Really it is.
