"Where I go I just don't know"
Jan. 16th, 2009 02:39 amLast weekend I slept about 30 hours or so? About half of that was in a two-parter where I snoozed away in front of the laptop for a bunch of hours then finished it off properly by sleeping in bed for even longer. Then I worked on model train kits for much of Sunday. I need a small fan or something to push away the fumes.

aichan95. If it's any consolation I've narrowed it down to a couple. The somewhat-expected problem I'm running into with my current plan is that while I have no problem going out 50 to 100 miles to buy my next car if the price and condition are right, getting two cars home from that distance has some logistical snags. (The current top contender is about 30 miles away via the Short route and 60 miles via the Easy route.) I admit, it's not easy to find someone who will drive me that distance on such short notice.
At work we had some service representatives come in to do an overhaul on a piece of equipment. One of them was told by his company that he'll be laid off by the end of the week. Yeah, it's bad out there. I'd be willing to bet that everyone that reads this has either been laid off before or knows someone that has. Been there a couple times personally, so I know how much it can suck.
resonant, your package has finally arrived, and it is Good. Thank you. Why it took them three weeks to deliver it is beyond me.
Plans are on for going to Setsucon this weekend despite an increasing chance of snow and definite ICED BALLS COLD. Looking forward, I investigated how much it would cost to rent something for taking a bunch of people to Tekkoshocon. Prices came out to about $375 for a minivan and $500 for a full-size passenger van. Yeah, not so much of an option now. It could be lower if I shaved off a day, but it's still salty.
Hm. Going to bed isn't a bad idea about now.
