May. 15th, 2010 12:26 amWeather's too nice to be staying home all weekend, so I think I'll be zipping about, except for today which was too rainy. AUSA staff meeting tomorrow that I can use as a springboard for a daytrip to Skyline Drive and surrounding areas, and on Sunday I think I'll check out one of those Card & Comic shows. The last one I went to was in 2004. I'm curious as to how much they've changed/stayed the same, or if that dude that used to sell fansubs on VHS tapes ever got the memo that we're in the 21st century. (He was still trying, last I saw in 2004.) And then? Springboard for something else that day. Sounds like a plan.
In an ATM trip as a run-up to KFC, I stopped at the PA Welcome Center for a new road map. It's fun to look over all the little pamphlets of tourist traps and such, it makes me feel like I'm already on some massive road trip, even though this Welcome Center in particular is only about 4 miles from home. It's all in perspective, I suppose.
Anyway! The KFC Double-Down. Imagine a bacon and cheese sandwich, but instead of in a bun, it's inbetween slabs of FRIED CHICKEN. It's one of the tastiest things I ever spent six dollars on. However! If I happen to be in the York area for whatever reason, and around West Manchester Mall for whatever reason, there is a little stand in the parking lot that sells cheesesteak subs which are just as tasty as a Double Down, cost about the same, yet are substantially larger. It's like getting carnival food without going to the carnival, or without all the pratfalls that come with carnival food.
Ok, I'm going back to watching some anime. This season has been pretty good for new shows.
