Jun. 7th, 2010 07:21 amFinally got the new UPS in place. It's one of those fancy types that displays how much load the devices are using. For example, my PC uses between 140 to 200W of power (depending on what it's doing), 25W of which is for the monitor. This is also without any external hard drives plugged in. I have a double-enclosure that when just plugged in it doesn't result in any additional load, but when turned on it's another 25W (50 when it's spinning up the drives). tl;dr is that I've been turning stuff off more often as a result.
Lately I've been playing Bump n' Jump again. The scores aren't nearly what I was racking up in my prime, but they're inching back up. It's not as frustrating as I thought it would be.
Also: Filed under "bottom feeder", I've been slowly cleaning out my fridge and freezer by way of eating the contents. The pizza rolls are still ok for having a little freezer burn, while the chicken tenders have gotten rather tough; I gave up on those. The bag was almost empty anyway so no big loss there. The BBQ meatballs were still pretty damn good but that was the freshest item, with a "best by" date of last September. Don't worry, I do this a lot. I'm a professional.
It's going to be another "The Summer That Was Just Kinda There". Probably because I'm focusing on paying down a few things, like
nozomichan05's loan. If all goes well? Six months, instead of 21 months. At least if I need to skip on a couple months I can do so. Next payment due date is actually somewhere in December. Anyway. I'll still find a way to sneak off to the beach, and sneak off to an amusement park. I'm groovy like that.
