Nov. 29th, 2013 11:38 pmA few things:
-Got a new radio for
aichan95. This means her old radio is now a spare. Aside from the iPod adapter gadget having a messy connection, and the display having weird lines on it, the old one mostly works. The new one has direct USB ports meaning I just need a standard iPod cable, and it also has Bluetooth so I can do that hands-free calling thing.

-Phasing out some of my older hard drives. Most of them have high hours, are out of warranty, relatively small, and some of them have a few weird problems cropping up. I already have a few that were giving me some serious issues, including long spin-up times and physically making noise loud enough that I could hear all the way to my bedroom. I've already consolidated about a dozen hard drives.
-The iTunes jukebox/semi-portable HTPC+ project is in progress. I'm going to store my music library on a pair of enterprise-level hard drives in RAID1, because losing over 40k in files would kinda suck. Sure I could make regular backups the way I do now and that would lessen the blow. But really, for as cheap as hard drives have gotten? Also, I'm calling it HTPC+ instead of just HTPC. It's complete, but I'm hoping to add a few more bells and whistles, and give it a bit more extra oomph than what a regular HTPC would have.
-Why enterprise drives? They're generally built to run non-stop and play nice with other drives in RAID setups. Someday I'll have a big RAID10 setup with them.

That is all for now.
