Next place I get is going to have a garage, absolutely no compromise on that. It can be at-level, below-level, or detached; either one will work. But it will have a garage so I can do some of my own car repairs. As it is now, I'm subject to the whims of the weather. After subtracting days that are too hot, cold, rainy, snowy, windy, and so on, I might have about 5 days total per year for doing any kind of repairs, and I'm limited to very light and minor repairs. That's because the parking pad is made of asphalt, which is too soft and uneven for lifting vehicles and supporting them on jack stands.

Currently I have 5 computers running Windows 7. I have one or two that I may sacrifice to try Windows 10 with, mostly out of curiosity. I have a laptop that does have 10 on it already, due to a previous experiment. Trying it on older desktops is a different matter. Others shall remain at 7 for the time being. If it doesn't work? I have ways of reverting. I'm a magic man like that.

Kinda forcing myself to do more cleaning up instead of zipping off on mini road trips on the weekends. One surprising thing that helps is using small boxes for small loose things. Walk around, collect small loose things, toss them into the small box. When that gets full, close it up and repeat with a fresh box. Then a bunch of those little boxes get put into a bigger box. At this point I'm skipping the "is it useful/joyful/important" assessment and just tossing everything into boxes. If I try doing triage on it, it's going to take forever.

I keep having dreams where I go back to Scottdale to visit. They're not scary or sad dreams, just very nostalgic. The last time I was out there for any extended time was in 2013. This tells me something. So, I think I'll end up heading out there for a day or two on my week off.
