psipsyEarlier this month I went to the new car show in Baltimore. It honestly felt weird to be walking around the BCC and not be surrounded by anime fans. Long story short, I paid $12 to be reminded that I preferred what I already have. It ain't even about the money. I have cars that were built before navigation and infotainment systems were a thing. They have interiors that say "sit down, shut up, and drive". I like that.

I've always felt those things kill a sense of direction.
This past weekend was Katsucon. It's become something I only really go to because my friends go to it. Usually I just go for Saturday. In 2014 I went for the full weekend, hotel and all. It was fun and yet pointless because I didn't do much that was directly related to the con itself. I'm not sure that I needed a badge at all. Wait, that's not just Katsucon these days. Anyway a lot of the bigger events are becoming more of a hassle. I have something to say about anime cons in a future post.
Estate stuff is getting closer to wrapping up. Bills are paid, accounts closed, checks written, Gil's possessions are distributed, and Gil himself is in Ireland. One of the last few things to do is finalize the Final Account. All the numbers add up properly, so I just need to scan/copy the 30+ receipts and statements and other documents, round up any straggler receipts, and send that slab of paperwork in. The end is near!
Oh well.
