This looks like one of those entries where I put in more random stuff. I could. Eh... Well, if I could go into one of my high-rolling tangents, I would. Downloaded a bunch of Super Nintendo games. The Ranma 1/2 RPG is a hoot, it doesn't take itself seriously like entirely too many RPGs out there now. The puzzle games are like crack. Fighting games are ok. Haven't found any racing games, but I know they're out there somewhere. Also found some old Atari games. The game Custer's Revenge... Jeez. Who the hell came up with that one? Anyway, it amazes me how small the files are in comparison to what's out there now. I have yet to see an Atari 2600 game that went over 6KB. Ah, the days when I could spend hours on end in front of that thing. The more advanced that a system gets, the less I use it. Atari 2600: Used it so much we wore one out.
Nintendo: Put in countless thousands of hours playing it, but didn't wear it out.
Super Nintendo: Put in a bunch of hours, but marathon sessions were rare.
Playstation: Got a bunch of hours, no real marathon sessions.
Playstation 2: Actual game usage is probably less than 10 hours since I bought it almost 2 years ago. Used more for a backup DVD player for when the Apex has "one of those times", which is more often than it should.
Conclusion: buying the Next Big Thing will be a pointless endeavor for me.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I present to the readers the latest visual goody from Aeris:

It was high time that a picture was drawn of Ai-chan, took awhile for me to finally get around to asking. A picture of Suba-chan? I'll have to think about that, considering that Suba-chan has been dead for about 3 years now. But a posthumous image could be appropriate. I suppose I'd have to visualize what Suba-chan would have been like. There's an image floating around in my head, but it's not as clear as Yamiko-chan or Ai-chan's images. But an image of Suba-chan would probably have angel wings.

Someone remarked to me that showing all of Saikano to my brother-in-law right around Christmas time was an evil thing to do.

So I get back to Baltimore, and in the basement is enough computer equipment to make Lain Iwakura say "Woah..." Dave has some fancy 24-port router-switch things that he got from an auction, and found out they run on DC, but it has conflicting information on voltage and current requirements. Maybe that's why they went to auction in the first place?

Ah, I stayed up too late again. I shouldn't be doing that much longer, for obvious reasons. And yet, I continue onwards! ONWARDS WITH RECKLESS ABANDONMENT!! Ahem. But I'm feeling good. Found some MIDI files of some of my favorite songs, those are easier to share than mp3s. I'll find a way to put some of those up sometime. Of course, it would be nice if I could make MIDI files, for the same reason.

But now I'm getting sleepy, and I'm off to bed now, for all is quiet on the Western Front.

Not much of a gamer are ya still?

Gee Bob i have got though one atari 2600 but three Nintendos two Playstations a Sega Genesis and i'm on my second PS2 now. But all i really want now is an Xbox. Shit did i justsay that. Me supporting Microsoft? yeah it could happen someday but not while i'm broke. I just got a break before i head to bed. I hate working third shift with a passion. Before i hit the hey i want to appologize for not calling on Christmas day. I didn't get back untill after 11:00 and i didn't think you would be up for a trek through the snow that late. Ok now i go to bed. nighters?, or dayers?, or whatever? I'm tired as hell and i haven't slept in two days. got to work tonight and then sleep, if i can get any.

I don't think it was evil at all.

Ron & I don't think it was evil at all to show Saikano right before xmas. In fact, Ron's been researching it online & found that there are a lot of folks who want to see more than what was legitimately released in the US. He is actually grateful for the opportunity & privilege to be "in the know"!! love, Nancy
