What part of "nyo" don't you understand?

psipsyHoo, Katsucon is T-minus... a bunch of hours. Just gotta go into work to take care of a few loose ends, then it's off I go to Crystal City. Ah, I'll probably have to stop off at the house anyway. But oh well. There are many reasons I'm going, some of which are actually valid. But the video schedule isn't one of them, as I discovered when I looked at what they posted on their site. There's not much on my list of goods to get, which I guess is good. Most of my spending should be in operational costs. Hopefully. If I'm going to go to a dozen cons this year, it would probably be in my best interest to go on the cheap, just like I did when I was unemployed. What I also gotta do is get my rear in gear and post the Ohayocon report on my site.
Which brings me to another point, I'm planning on moving my site to a paid host, so I can indulge in oodles of space and bandwidth and such. This has been in consideration for several months, and I have a clear idea on what the domain name is going to be. I'm not saying yet, but it shouldn't take much guesswork to figure out what it would be. Tanuki had initially suggested http://www.lumenhosting.com/ so I've been rolling that idea around in my head, but I'm keeping my options open. Any suggestions out there?
Closed my eyes and thought back to my first anime convention, Otakon '95. Remembered getting there, completely unaware of what I was getting into. I can remember buying all kinds of stuff that until then all I could do was wish for it, seeing anime that I never thought existed. I can remember when I was there with Eric, and we were reminded that late summer nights in State College are a lot different than in Waynesboro after being inside a climate controlled hotel all day and suddenly inflicting on ourselves the cold night air, driving home listening to Urusei Yatsura cds that I had finally found. The first taste of fan parodies, Voltron: Hell Bent for Leather and Ranma 1/3, among others. Ah, the good old days.
