A free weekend! I think. Eh, what'll invariably happen is I loaf around either at home or wherever I can find internet. But that doesn't have to be the case! If I start off each day with a hearty breakfast of candy bars and Mountain Dew, I shall surely and completely burn out by noon like an imploding star! With Tekkoshocon coming up in a scant week, I suppose I shall pretend to do preparations. It'll not be unlike what happened at Katsucon, where I got so caught up in routine that I completely forgot to pack my luggage. A mild mistake, and while I should be embarrassed, I'm not. Of course, it happened because I have no attention span. Dammit, I had ADD before they could diagnose it! I'm Old Skool! At least I think I did. It would explain A LOT. Well, either I have no attention span, or it can only be measured in inverse fractional polynomials, whatever in hell they are. Math has always been one of those subjects that if I can catch half of what's going on, I can pick up the rest. English, not so good. Lazy me bombed out one year. Completely, royally, and gloriously! Science was fun, playing with chemicals before I really knew what they were capable of, setting my classmate's hair on fire, that sort of thing. History was one of those things where I figured if I didn't study it, it would happen again in case I missed it the first time. How convenient! Gym class. Now there's something I wasn't in for long. Knees acted up, doctor said no more gym class. Ever. Maybe not the Holy Grail of Slacking, but it's definitely part of the Triforce. I wanna play Legend of Zelda again. It's been too long. I remember spending weeks at a time just getting the hang of it, and then BAM! I'm able to beat the first quest in only a couple hours. Ooh, Bump n' Jump. Now there's a classic. Before Crusing World, before Crazy Taxi, before Grand Theft Auto, there was Bump n' Jump, where the whole point of the game was to DRIVE FAST AND SHOVE AS MANY CARS AS POSSIBLE OFF THE ROAD to create fiery explosions. That game would kick ass if it were revived right. But only the arcade version! The NES version had too many limitations. I don't think it went as fast, and had some bugs in it. Eep! I forgot one of the zippers on my laptop bag was open and I dumped a ton of stuff on the floor! At least it wasn't my food that went. I would have been quite put off by myself. Well, I needed to empty it anyway, just preferably in a more predictable fashion. Fortunately I won't mistakenly use the same method to clean out other things, like Ai-chan or Yamiko-chan or the Mobile Fortress. The other day I'm watching some anime, this time Paranoia Agent, and the opening credits feature the characters laughing with destruction going on behind them. From the same guy that gave "Perfect Blue" to the anime world. Ah, I remember watching that for the first time, that was trippy. And after that watched "Evangelion: Death/Rebirth". What a way to spend an evening in a convention video room. I'd like to do that again someday. Y'know, a bunch of friends (not all of them, some of them would kill each other), anime, and a stack of pizzas. Pizza is good. I have acquired both the pizza and the Pita Ten manga, although it took longer than I wanted. And, when this last pesky torrent finishes, I can pack up and go home, eat the rest of my pizza, watch the rest of Pita Ten, call it a night, chuckle when I realize that by the time I say that, the sun will have come up, stumble to my bed, conk out, and wake up however many hours later. Does tomorrow hold the key for lethargy, or adventure? Lethargic adventure, or adventurous lethargy? Is that supposed to exist? How many inverse fractional polynomials does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? Or to make a doghouse, for that matter? Why do I need a doghouse? I don't need a doghouse, I need to get some gas. Otherwise I won't get home, and pretend to sleep or something like it. I've slept in my car before, it's not really fun during seasons of weather changes, where it's freezing during the night, but as soon as the sun pops up, the temperature shoots up to around 80, turning the interior of the car into an oven. I swear it happens to me everytime I try. Ok, I'm done now.
Decided to make this an LJ cut at the last minute. Eh-heheheh.... ^_^;
