aichan95 is back!
You're probably wondering why she was gone in the first place. Well, I wanted to have this taken care of. And there was another one like it on the other side. And there were all sorts of dings and scratches. Y'see, the last couple winters were not gentle to her. There was the option of either letting it go until it got so far that it would be impossible to fix, or the option of taking care of it now. So, I had it taken care of.
In the process of going to pick her up and drive her home, I decided to walk three miles along country roads. It was good weather; warm with blue skies, and I was feeling up to my oats. And what did I find? I found the walk didn't kill me. In fact, it was only the first quarter mile or so that was the hardest. Now my left foot hurts a little, but other than that, I feel good. It was- *gasp* -exercise! Also, there were some geese. And my mere presence almost triggered a cattle stampede. Some cows looked at me like I was crazy (they were right of course). Joke's on you cows, you'll be the ones ending up on someone's dinner plate. Maybe mine! Maybe that's why they ran away. Because they KNEW they could only delay the inevitable.
And in other earth-shaking news, I bought yet another computer. The amazing part about it is, it's not a Mac. So now I'm learning about the subtle joys of learning how to work with XP. There are some benefits, such as watching anime that uses the funky WMV9 codec that some raw suppliers like to use. And able to run fun things like Melty Blood. Of course, it's going to take awhile to get it tuned in correctly, and of course, I'm still going to make use of my PowerBook because it is A Known Quantity. The PB will also still be the primary internet machine, as hacking attacks and worms and spyware things simply bounce off OSX. Along the same lines, I plan to avoid using Kazaa on my new PC for as long as possible. If anything, I'll be using WinMX.
