and I'm back

After a brief departure from Yonder Internets thanks to a cable modem that decided to crap out, I have returned. It would explain why I haven't been on AIM 24/7 for about a week. But all's well that ends well. During the slight downtime, I would get email and torrents and such from the hotspot at Starbucks across town, as opposed to camping out at Borders or Kinko's. Yes, I, a non-coffee drinker, at a Starbucks. But I already said why I was there, and that's why I don't hate the place.
More Air stuff:
Watched the movie, which had me all WTF, but at the same time explained more of the original story by taking a slightly alternate course by concentrating on Misuzu/Yukito, getting overly dramatic at times. However, I think that the movie helps explain the series, and the series helps explain the movie. And then there's the Summer Specials, focusing on Kanna's escape. There were a few serious spots, but for the most part, it reminded me of the Three Stooges. To that end, I offer another Air micro-fic:
Kanna: I am sad and lon-GAH!!
::several minutes later::
Brock Samson: Hey, I found something stuck in one of the engines.
Doctor Venture: Her again? That's the fifth time this month!
Kanna: Insolence! ::throws rocks but they land on her head again::
The end. Maybe I should quit hanging around on the other side of the sky.
Hungry, but not for fast food. I allow myself fast food only a couple times a month, and I already met that quota. I will probably lower that quota next month.
Sorry, not so much in the way of deep philosophy and ponderances on life and the universe this time, and yes I've been slacking in peppering my journal with mp3's. More later!
