Ahahah. Busier weekend than most, I must say. Tons of computer stuff. Installed some new DVD burners and a new hard drive for the PC, upgraded the firmware on most of the DVD burners, got a UPS for the PC, got an upgraded version of Toast and a new power supply for my PB (the old one started to literally fall apart), cleaned some dust out of the external drive tower, new IDE cables all around, installed a bunch of software, and most importantly of all, I installed Line Fighting Spirits. I think it was all worth it for that one reason.

Anime time!

Magikano: Episode 11 was more WAFF than anything, but #10 had magical talking panties, and this. Pure comedy gold.

Shinigami no Ballad: Momo is a quiet and sensitive girl who likes to help out. She's also a fully licensed, card-carrying angel of death. Initially I was disappointed by the first episode. After all, anything with the word shinigami (god of death), one would expect a lot of death and dying and bloody mayhem. Nope, not really. Instead the show is about her and her interactions with people, and she would probably be more suited to work alongside the likes of Belldandy. But I warmed up to this show, and I find I'm enjoying it. Bonus points for crazy lyrics in the opening theme song, though.

Futakoi Alternative: I haven't seen the original series, and apparently I don't have to in order to understand this one. I'm sure it helps, but when you make one series that's nothing more than another harem show and make a second one with the same characters but now in an action setting with guns and explosions and fighting all over the place, the idea of established characters has pretty much gone out the window. Not that I have any problem with that, mind you.

Uh what other anime have I been watching... I know there's a bunch and I know I should be able to rattle off the titles in a heartbeat, but I apparently can't.

Ugh, AIM must have corrupted it's preferences or something. It keeps opening IM windows all in the same place and window size, as if it was someone new.

In keeping with my plan to prune my convention schedule, I must say that I'm not sure if I'm even going to Animazement this year. I know it's a good convention, but I need a better reason to go. The only real definites this year are Tekkoshocon, Otakon and AUSA. If I only end up going to about 4 conventions this year, I can be cool with that. More would be fun, but hey.

Ah crap, weekend is officially over for me. As is this entry!

You can't have a "self cover"! It is inmpoossible to cover a song that you yourself did! That makes it a remake! or the exact same song!

I got all the short forms except UPS. I like to keep up with my abbreviations; what is it?

Uninterruptable Power Supply. So even if the power goes out, I can keep going long enough to finish up whatever I'm doing and shut the computer off properly.

well watching the first series only adds to the "wtf?" with this one. Its very confusing especially since 90% of the characters are from the first... oh yeah the main guy isn't the same guy from the first series whatsoever....

I guess they just wanted to have fun with it, I give it a *thumbs up* for "wtf"ness and the interesting way in which all characters are tied togeter in this one.

yeah usually anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours... I think a lot of server places have UPS that are rated for much longer time.

As well they should have fun with it. If they made Sister Princess into something like The Dirty Dozen, then I'd most definitely watch that. Heh, "Sister Princess Commandos". Yeah, that would be awesome.

The UPS' for webhosting server farms could possibly light up a small town. But past that, most places use generators. Ft. Detrick uses locomotive engines just for that purpose.

Long disccusion, Mr Car. Bassically, on a cover album, someone put one of their own songs on it and called it a "self cover". My point is you cannot "cover" yourself, with what cover means in a music setting.

No, automobiles are masculine, just like computers are feminine. You're a dude.

There's more

Basic ones for home use aren't terribly expensive, the one I got ran about $100, and it can keep a reasonable desktop running for about half an hour.

For those feeling up to the challenge, it is possible to build one using a car battery and charger, and looping it back out through a power inverter. That's basically what the UPS is anyway, just a little more intelligent about it. (The new one can even tell the computer to shut off when the reserve gets down to a certain level.)

Some are, some aren't. The Nissan I used to have, definitely female, and I would even go so far as to say it was the Naru Narusegawa of cars.

On top of that, you're 1400 miles away and only know us through the internet.

The nipple icon just makes it that much funnier. But just look at the facts, man. Cars are large, powerfull things that like to show off. They also eat alot and produce alot of gas =D They rearly wash and very selective about when they want to work and when they wanna sit their like a big hunk of metal and raido wires. If thats not Male I dont know what is. =D

Like he said, 1400 miles away and through the internet.

Don't make blanket judgements on people or things you don't know about.

I recognized him, which is why I posted that image. ^_^

And on top of that, I also had the nerve to show the PV to his cover of "Young Man" by The Village People" at an anime club I run.
