It is surely spring, as the squirrels are drag racing on the roof again.

I had an entry all written up and ready to go about solving the mysteries of life, but I figured that since a lot of people don't care to read about that sort of thing, I erased it.

Must get more almonds, and they must be unsalted.

The PowerBook will definitely go in for service this week, no two ways about it. The screen is still going wacky at times, and there's still a blue line along the side, and it's generally all beat up. Keep in mind I've had this thing for about three years, which is a lot for laptops, especially laptops that have literally been in use almost nonstop, and/or having seen significant travel. I have a feeling the repairs it will need will justify the price of the extended warranty, which runs out sometime next month. Then I shall upgrade the hard drive in it.

Crap, I still need to do my taxes.

Life-Like's Proto2000 line shows me just how far they've come. I got a couple railroad cars made by them recently, and I'm thinking there's maybe a couple parts I'd have to put together, and what do I find? A million little pieces on plastic sprues that will need to be glued on. Egads, what task have I taken on?

I've been playing a lot of Line-Kill-Spirits. Maybe too much, maybe not enough. But oh, the payoff!

Uh what else was I gonna say... Oh yeah, beans. Circuit beans! The diagrams and schematics make up for any rough spots in the English, which is largely understandable.

This could have made for a neat movie, but it's really just an elaborate commercial for tires.

The new season for anime is upon us, and a lot of new shows, and a couple that are back for more.

Dunno if I'm gonna go to Animazement this year, I may change plans and check out Balticon instead. Of course, in line with my penchant for insane tactics, I may end up at Animazement anyway if Balticon doesn't float my boat. (Then again, for comparison's sake, it costs me next to nothing to stay at home and watch hentai all weekend.)

Dishes, and laundry, H-games to install, what else...?

This entry got bigger than I thought it would, again. And once I get everything done today (HAHAHAHAHAH) then I shall watch some anime. Screw it, I'll probably just watch some anime and then get everything done. Typical.

Actually I have a wierd request for you.

I was wondering if you could help me with something. We just did elections for Anime Club at Ship (yes I said elections >_>) and the new president wants to do a back history of the club. I for the life of me cannot remember Meg's last name and I don't know who was before her. I was hoping that you maybe you could help since you know/knew a lot the earlier Presidents. Also if you can remember the any anime titles that were shown while they were running the club that would be usfel as well. Thank you in advanced and you can e-mail me at "amvteknoboy at gmail dot com" if you do not wish to post the info here.

yeah and I thought that was a movie preview as well >_>...

Bob clued me into your request and I think I can address the history of the person who created the club because...he's me!

Working from memory, I believe the club was created in '97, right before I graduated. The Japanese professor sponsored the club and a member of his lower-level class signed on to be my vice president.

We worked mainly of my own personal library of tapes, with people helping out when/if they could. I had a large amount of fansubs, but this was in the pre-digital age.

After I finished out my year, I believe the VP went to another school. Luckily, by this time we had a pretty good group going. Meg Brosius took over the presidenting, but I still hung around, since I was in the area.

After Meg it fell to another dude who was a regular named Tim (I forget his last name). Pretty much after that, it became harder for me to attend meetings, Meg and my friends graduated, and I lost track of things.

Basically, I structured meetings in a three hour block, so we could show an hour block of three different shows, an hour block of shows and a movie, or what have you. I tried to show programs in the 26 episode range (if TV) or OVA series, so that we could finish them out before the end of a semester. For the most part, if it wasn't dubbed, and if it wasn't H, we showed it (the choices were far fewer back then).

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or whatnot. I'll tell you what I remember!

Thanks,
David Taylor

actually Meg gave it to me, James (Jim) Winfield ^_^.

Thank you for info.

I've graduated, but I still go back. The main webpage is going under some major reconstruction. here is the SAS webpage (http://www.ship.edu/~anime).

the club it self is pretty large, we basically took over Grove Forum. If you ever get the chance, please stop by I'd love to meet you ^_^. Thanks for making a fantastic club!

mind if I add you?
