psipsyDidn't go to work today. Didn't feel like it. And if I did go to work today, then I would have surely regretted it, because my energy levels were borderline. Preemptive resting! Brilliant!
Computer stuff: Newer PB is waiting on parts, no idea when that'll happen. That thing is three years old now, and if it weren't for the extended warranty on it, I wouldn't have bothered trying to fix it. The older PB, the G3 I've had for almost 6 years now, has been limping due to failed L2 cache. But a G4 processor upgrade should take care of that soon. I thought about a direct replacement for the stock processor, but since that's what went bad in the first place, I don't know if I'd want to take that route. Plus the cost to fix/upgrade the G3 is a very acceptable price. The Windoze box has it's own set of problems, namely restarting at seemingly random times. I'll get to the bottom of that mystery somehow.
I don't mind wrong numbers, and I don't mind collect calls, but a combination of both? No deal. Yeah, someone I didn't know tried calling me collect the other night. Denied!
The past couple days, a bird has been trying to build a nest on the light by my front door. I would have let it be, but since the light is right by my front door, that could have posed a problem. So when I see any buildup, I just shove it off. Looks like the bird has picked up the clue; no nest buildup all day. Denied!
AUSA staff meeting on Sunday went well. The meeting itself was coherent and more organized than several months ago. On the way home, I got "Wind of Ebenbourg" on DVD. I should go watch that.
