Jul. 4th, 2006 11:47 pmToday I went to a mile-long yard sale, and what do I have to show for it? Only one item: Feast your eyes! A vintage top-loading VCR with a wood-grain finish! It didn't come with a remote, but it can accomodate a wired remote in one of the plugs on the back. This justified everything. I plugged it in and it didn't explode, which is a good start. Whether it plays tapes or not is beside the point for now. The point is, it makes my 22-year old Zenith look modern. Not sure how old this thing really is, I'll probably have to look for some sort of date code inside. But a top-loader with buttons large enough to operate while wearing a baseball mitt, I'll be surprised if it's newer than the Zenith.
Then I went to Skyline Drive, which I just got back from. Took many pictures, which will be soon (and probably end up in
yamikochan's journal). One of these days I should make a multi-day trip for that as well as Blue Ridge Parkway. Yes, that would be good. And when I do, I must make a point to at least get some sort of bug repellant; everytime I got out to walk around I was instantly beset by a swarm of gnats. It would sometimes happen on previous trips, but this time they were around consistently. The sunburns on my arms, neck and face, I don't mind that so much, but the gnats gotta go.
Something tells me I should look into getting an official diagnosis of ADHD and subsequent treatment, if applicable.
I have become rather crispy. And tired. I don't want to go to work tomorrow, but then again who does? Meh, it's only a three-day week for me, and I know I'm gonna be busy as soon as I get in the door. So I might as well.
