Just beachy
Sep. 3rd, 2006 11:22 pmSince my third shift duty wrapped up, it left me with a bonus of a four-day weekend, as opposed to the three-day weekend that I would have normally got. (I paid for that in the form of a one-day weekend a week ago.) Anyway. The first two days were literally a washout, due to the remnants of a hurricane marching through. I spent the entirety of Friday working on this dandy little contraption. Took me about 14 hours nonstop, while the wind howled and the rain poured outside. I suppose I would have had to stop if the power got knocked out.
Saturday saw a lot of sleeping going on. Went to my workout, then came home and effectively passed out for the rest of the day until sometime in the evening when I figured it was too late to really do anything or go anywhere.
Then Sunday (today)! Today I went to Ocean City, because I've never been there before, and after looking into the logistics of traveling there, I figured I should go. So I did, taking the scenic route by going through Delaware, which is where I actually saw the beach. Didn't actually get to the beach itself in OC, but I hear rumors that it's on the other side of all those hotels, apartments, beachhouses, and condominiums. Oh well, another day. Got home in three hours. If it had been nice all weekend, I wouldn't have bothered going because then it would have been even more crowded. For what it's worth, I think I'll stick to Skyline Drive/Shenandoah NP.
Tomorrow's open. Open for DISCOVERY!
Ok, and I know most of you out there don't normally read the girls' journals, but both
aichan95 and
yamikochan have pictures. Many, many pictures. Go take a look-see!
Uh what else... Um... There's always something else that I keep meaning to add, but forget about at the last minute. So, um... Butts.
