Erf, why am I up this late? I should go back to bed. It's at the point where I mentally need to allocate more effort just to keeping focus.

A couple days ago I found a steel penny from 1943 in my change. It's not in very good shape, though.

One of my external drives has a small cooling fan that sounds like it's about to crap out, again. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that the single enclosure (the one that's being noisy) doesn't get the same treatment as the 8-bay, which will sometimes get shut down, opened up, and vacuumed out. So, I'm probably going to be replacing that fan again before long. It's really convenient that there happens to be a computer show coming up this weekend. But not just for that. If that was all I needed, I'd just stop at an electronics supplier on my way home.

I've been listening to Capsule and Perfume all DAY and they rock. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] mandichan.

Sometime last week I dreamt that I went into a casino, and played the slot machine. After only a couple tries, I hit the jackpot. It was certainly a dream, as I generally avoid gambling.

Going on a tip from my sister [livejournal.com profile] rubian77, this upcoming weekend's mini-adventure shall be a trip to Assateague Island, which turns out is only a little further down the road from Ocean City. Although for something in a different direction, Longwood Gardens looks like it would make for an interesting visit. I know I have a passport that lets me visit the far-flung reaches of the world and will not go to waste, but there's still so much to see that's so comparatively close to home. Either way, wherever I go, there will be pictures taken and eventually posted.

Ok, back to bed for me.

Longwood Gardens, among other things

I don't know how far into the autumn Longwood Gardens' theater productions continue, but they have been presenting plays for many decades.

Not far away from there is the Brandywine Museum, which has a large collection of works by the various artists with the last name Wyeth. If you like their work, it's worth a side trip.

And Wilmington, Del., has a few neat museums and might be on your way to or from Longwood. My favorites are Hagley Museum and Nemours (the latter a residence-turned-museum of one of the DuPonts, Charles if memory serves). Winterthur is interesting but a bit overwhelming and expensive and really requires at least a half day to do it right.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up! If I'm in that area, I'll have to check those out.
