Ok, so like many others that knew about it, I jumped on RightStuf's insane sale, and I go for the 25/$100 deal. Then I get the email telling me my stuff shipped, except for the backordered items, which meant only 4 DVDs actually shipped, and no idea when the others are going to show up. Lovely. Oh well, it's not like they're the only ones with sales, I got the entire set of Ikkitousen at Suncoast for $50.

New hard drive added to the stack, a 320GB that I have named Suigin Tou. For future plans, I'm gonna have to find some SATA/1394 bridgeboards before long, cuz SATA is starting to take over. (Tho there are SATA/IDE adapters; no word on how well those work yet.)

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni #25 made me squirm in my seat.

Assateague Island was much less busy than Ocean City, which equates to being more enjoyable for me. It was also post-Labor Day, which I think had a lot to do with it.

I want to go camping sometime! This would also involve getting a decent tent and sleeping bag. Or at least the sleeping bag, which I can use at conventions. Speaking of conventions...

This coming weekend is AWA! Which I'm not going to this year. Probably not next year either. I'm running into fewer and fewer people that I know at that convention and I'm finding I enjoy the road trip aspect of it more than the convention itself. Conventions next year are going to be fewer than this year, except for Anime Expo. Maybe I'll go to Ohayocon again. I dunno.

The workouts have been going well, typically one every other day. Initially the workouts themselves lasted about 40 minutes, but as I've increased the weights and repetitions, it's now over an hour long. There's also a change in my dietary habits. For example, instead of chugging a Big Gulp or two of soda, I'm down to a 20-oz bottle that can last me all day. Most of what I drink now is water. I feel good about this.

I miss the days when I would zip around on a bicycle, getting wherever entirely under my own steam, even if it was a range of only a few miles. But oh how that bike riding wrecked my knees. Hopefully some structured exercise will allow me to get back into that, coupled with the fact that I'm long past my late-teens growth spurt. I know of more than a few places that a bicycle would be great for, places that [livejournal.com profile] aichan95 and [livejournal.com profile] yamikochan wouldn't be able to access. Like those Rails-to-Trails.

Alright, I've rambled long enough; I'll stop polluting your Friends' Page now.
