Called into work today on account of getting [livejournal.com profile] yamikochan's brakes fixed again, as one of the rotors from the job earlier this week turned out to be defective. Maybe they couldn't have known the first one was defective, but they wasted no time in making amends by putting on a second set free of charge and without any bugging from me, beyond the initial "hey these new brakes are noisy and have a weird feel to them". So to me, this was handled well.

Oh yeah... http://www.cardboardshrine.com/images/displayimage.php?album=4&pos=3

I have also decided that using my bicycle to take either of my cars to the garage is a valid option in cool but fair weather. I have also decided that the official bike headlights that are available actually kinda suck, and I had better results hose-clamping my Mag-Light to the handlebars.

My new neighbors have a Jaguar. And a relatively new one, WTF?

Been watching a LOT of the new anime coming out this season. The review page I've been cooking up lists over a dozen titles now. Sometimes, if I go a week or two without watching any anime, I feel kinda "off". Then I'll sit down and watch several hours worth in a stretch, and feel recharged again. Ranging from quasi-readable fansubs on VHS, or crisp DVD, or the instant access of .avi's, it all works.

Many people don't realize this, but... Vanilla is a flavor of its own!

Ok, back to watching anime for me. Then bed.

Hmmm!

I hadn't considered that before, but you're absolutely right; some people do seem to consider vanilla as an absence of a "real" flavor like chocolate, strawberry, pumpkin, whatever. I suppose that anyone who is sophisticated enough to have more in his/her kitchen than frozen pizza, frozen waffles, frozen hamburgers, etc. might be aware of pure vanilla extract and the delights that it can bring to various foods.

The idea of vanilla as a non-flavor is common among children, but most kids will also agree that vanilla ice cream is always better than none at all.

Years ago, we had these little plastic cups that we could use to make our own ice cream with, complete with instructions for various flavors, and they called for a teaspoon of vanilla extract. It was also how I learned the difference between a teaspoon of vanilla and a tablespoon of vanilla. Big difference.

I'm not sure if my e mail reached you, because I changed "webmustard" to "webmaster". Afterwards, I realized that someone such as yourself would have actually had the former version.

Anyway, the picture total (minus the fourth one, which I am still debating doing) comes to $105. Hamster cage comes to $60. You can leave the monies on my desk, or you can mail it to me with a check. Either is fine.

Thank you so much! Now I go to work on Yamiko!

BTW, here are the inks for Ai-Chan:

Expect a very, VERY cute background.

Or a third option for picking up the cash, if you're willing to travel for it: I'll be running the York Anime Club in West Manchester Mall this Saturday. If I have to mail it, I'll never remember to do so, and you know this.

For email, either of them would have worked. I'm gradually going to rely on the "webmustard" addy because all I'm getting on the "webmaster" one is spam.

The fourth picture can wait for the time being.

I work this saturday unfortunately. But I will be driving by on Friday for a doctors appointment. Please leave the cash on my desk Friday morning (or thursday night) and I will pick it up in the morning.

Thank you so much, and I'm sorry I can't come to the york club meeting =(

BTW, does Anime USA ever have any need for artwork?

BTW, I've finished inking the last picture (of the two girls), and its simply sexy to the max. So much that I hesitate to post it on Deviantart (because even though it says deviant, you post anything slightly offensive and someone shits a brick).

Sooo....which e mail can I send the pic to for initial viewing?

Either of the emails that you've sent to in the past should work. I saw that you posted it on DA anyway, but if you hadn't, I could have posted it in my coppermine gallery and you could then post the link to it.
