Alrighty, I gots my badge for Otakon, so I suppose I have to actually pack for it too. Wasn't planning on staying in a room for this one, but a decent offer for some space in the Sheraton presented itself. On my way to work earlier this afternoon I passed someone who had painted "Otakon or Bust" on their rear window. Cute.

Erf I dunno what else I was going to put in here. Happens often. Too often. And then when I do think of what else to put in, I'm busy with something like driving or laying on my back underneath a big piece of equipment that could kill me if I'm not careful, so writing it down on somewhere isn't really an option at that point and don't tell me to "remember it for later" because if I could do that, then I wouldn't have to write it down in the first place and I really should get to bed and sleep soon. Ok.

I relate strongly to what you're saying about thinking of things to say when it's totally inconvenient to write them down and then not remembering what I would have written down when it comes time to LJ, have a phone conversation, chat with someone over supper, etc. Maybe you could wear one of those over-the-head microphones with a loooong cord attached to a minirecorder.

The little mp3 player I got last year will record audio, so it's an option for when I'm driving, an activity that I find makes for a philosophical bonanza. Unfortunately it's not an option where I work, as they frown on things that can record audio. For that matter, they only let us bring in cell phones that don't have cameras on them.
