Speaking of Apollo Smile from the previous entry, does anyone remember AnimeEast? The only one I went to was '95 (also their last), where she nearly beheaded studiodorobo in some impromptu hatchet-swinging display.

Beyond that and buying a ton of UY stuff, the rest is fuzzy so it must've been fun.

Remember both AE94 and 95. The former was fun and a precursor of what all good cons could eventually achieve, but the latter was a train wreck and also a precursor of how far a bad con can sink.

Admittedly, AE94 was before my time, so I didn't have any reference. But 95 did have that train wreck vibe. Still had fun though.
