Got my laptop to see my XP box's hard drives, but I can't get XP to see my laptop. There's probably something I'm not doing. Oh well, I'll figure it out. It's good for things like poking around and streaming mp3s back and forth, but for heavy file moving it's not very good. Then again my laptop is still using Wireless-B. It's also disheartening to see my faithful 1GHz G4 processor trying to run 720p video files in h264. The spirit is willing but the silicon is weak.

Tekkoshocon: One thing that's forboding about Tekko this time around is that thar be storm clouds a'brewing some drama, matey. But this salty dog has sailed rougher seas. Beyond that? I'm kinda stoked. Although, I've discovered that the more keyed up I am about a convention, the crazier it gets at work right before I leave. Ideally I would have been home hours ago, but no. Maybe it's a good thing; to take my mind off it. At least I have Thursday off to wrap up loose ends.

I think I shall bring my new rice cooker. Yes, I have a rice cooker now. It automagically knows when the rice is done! Bringing rice to put in it is probably also a good idea.

Funny thing about my car payment for Nozomi-chan is that by the time I get the statement, the payment's already been made. Hooray for automatic payments. Sure there's people that have all kinds of distrust for them. They're able to pay attention to things like that; I however lack the necessary drivers for focusing and attention and would much rather leave instructions for my bank to make the payments for me.

Eep, need to send off the dead hard drive. Already got the warranty replacement.

I <3 automatic payments. I'd have them for my mortgage and credit cards except that I get paid every 2 weeks and the due date varies on the credit card and I pay my mortgage twice a month (half at a time).

You could still do it for those. The due date bounces around by a few days, but I've aimed for a safe-date that's as much as a week ahead.

I can see how getting paid every 2 weeks can throw a wrench in the works.

The big end of the wrench is that I rarely - if ever - have enough of a cash cushion to cover the debit if it ranges before I get paid.
