psipsySo yeah, CHS Otakufest. It's a convention that if I didn't know any better, I could have sworn it was run by a bunch of kids in high school. Which it was, because it was located in a high school. And in that respect, it went rather well and made for a fun diversion for the day. It's not out to be some industry juggernaut determined to change fandom as we know it, it's a convention bashed together by a high school anime club that's reached its goal of putting on its own public event, which met its own goal of being fun. Bravo, CHS Anime club, bravo. Well done.
Seeing as how the convention itself officially wrapped up around 6pm, we ventured up to York for what was left of Anime Club there for the day. Conked out during Char's Counterattack because by then I had effectively crammed 3 days worth of activity into 1, had woken up much earlier in the day than I was used to, and it was catching up to me. And when I got home, I also discovered that I hadn't opened any windows or enabled the air conditioning, which made for a surprise tropical adventure in the comfort(?) of my own home.
Being as tired as I was, I've largely slept through much of today. But that's alright. I still woke up around my usual time albeit with an aggressively sore throat.
Anyway, back to working on my sister's computer that I said I'd have done by today (but obviously haven't).
