After a weekend of doing largely nothing but loaf around, watch anime, eat food (uncured bacon FTW), and the obligatory jaunt to nowhere, why does it feel like I forgot to do homework?

Where, pray tell, do you get uncured bacon? Do you mean it has no sodium nitrite in it? I rarely eat bacon because of that particular carcinogen and would like to know the name of any brand that doesn't use it.

It's the store brand at Wegman's. It does indeed advertise no sodium nitrite added.
