Saturday was when I was gonna do my last blitz of Christmas shopping and we get snow. I measured 16" in front of my home. And we're gonna get more for Christmas. As such, there will be a lot of shovelling in my near future.

But! I have one of these. It lives up to the hype. It's best for regular snow; but I wouldn't use it for chopping ice that's stuck to the ground, so a conventional steel shovel is better for that. With both, I'm unstoppable!

So, I've wisely used the snow day for things like watching anime, including a couple episodes of the original Yatterman from the '70s. Old-school low-budget cheese, and it's awesome. Now they made a live-action movie that came out earlier this year, which is just as cheesy and awesome and has a few "now I've seen everything" moments. If you only need one reason, and it's not hard to find one, I would say Doronjo would be enough to qualify.

Let's see, also some 11Eyes, Railgun, Trapeze, Sunred, and of course Umineko. And more.

In lieu of mixing rum with egg nog, peppermint schnapps works as well.

At least I was able to get out and finish my shopping today.

Is Yatterman out in the world of Torrents? I saw the first few minutes at NYCC and I want to see the rest.

The movie? Yeah, it's out, but there's a couple extra hoops to jump through for it. Such as, I haven't seen it posted on Animesuki (and Tokyotosho is down), so I ended up getting it from Pirate Bay, the movie was inexplicably split into two pieces, and the subtitle files needed to be downloaded separately, renamed from .txt to .srt, and put in the same folder as the video and hope the player will auto-detect them. The Windows Media Classic in CCCP did that, and can run playlists so that the split files isn't much of an issue.

If you get some Christmas snow, put some in a jar and send it to me. It's supposed to have magical properties. But it's never seen it snow that day.

The forecast has changed. It looks like it'll just be rain, which isn't as magical.

Yeah, Christmas rain is not magical in the slightest.
