Last week I had to work dayshift because of some training. That was rough. I'm still feeling the effects of that, as I've been conking out much earlier than usual lately. Also, in order to stay awake last week, I consumed a lot of caffeine, even by my standards. A Rockstar, followed by 4 cups of coffee in one day alone. That said, I've decided to throttle back on caffeine intake for the time being. Skimming along on about 2 cans of Mello Yello a day now. The nice thing about bottlers listing how much caffeine is in a serving? If I feel I need something extra strong to turn my crank, I don't have to guess anymore. Or if I want to ease up, like I'm doing now.

In light of my desire to bring my server computer to full desktop capability if needed, I put an actual video card into it. I thought about stuffing in the cheapest possible thing I could find but the magical land of MicroCenter had a sale on GT240 cards that I couldn't pass up. Now it can play 1080p anime without maxing out the processor. Overkill for something I originally meant for a server, I know. Next step is to start stuffing it full of really big hard drives. Like say, a bunch of 2TB drives. And if I run out of ports, I can put in a card for more.

I went to my friend (and former roommate)'s wedding. It was nice. Not too big, and there wasn't anyone there that shouldn't have been there. I enjoyed it.

Finally got off my ass and started going to the gym again. The one at work, free for employee use. If I only go to grind away on the elliptical for 15 minutes or so, that will be better than nothing. It'll also give me the chance to re-acclimate myself to the process.

I realize that I don't often send a comment related to your blog, but I wanted to restate that I read it religiously and enjoy it greatly. Usually, I have nothing worth saying in response to your entries (this being a prime example!), and I only wanted to check in so you know you have yet another steady reader.
