In a recent spate of model railroad interest, I've gone so far as to lay out some track on the kitchen floor. Not permanently, of course. Just a simple oval that can be put down and pulled up in a matter of minutes, something to run some trains. And find out more of my locomotives are in need of an overhaul. So yeah, that's what I've been doing a lot lately. Also sneaking some anime watching in between.
Tomorrow may be the last organized York Anime Club meeting for some time. The mall is starting some heavy-duty renovations to make way for a very large tenant and is likely doing away with the community room that we use. This makes me sad, although I understand they do need to survive as a business and they stand to make so much more money from this large tenant than a bunch of anime fans that meet once a month. As such we'll probably end up meeting in someone's basement from now on.
The ice cream scoops I used in the past 4 years had all kinds of problems, from rust to mechanical breakage to peeling chrome. But now I have found a decent ice cream scoop.
On a weekly basis at work I see notices of people retiring, many of them having worked there longer than I've been alive. It's a good sign, really. And I can see how the years add up. Six years felt like an eternity at my old job, but not here. Here it may feel like I started only a year or so ago, but I know better.
Alright now for some snooze. But I should update more often than once every 2 million weeks.
