psipsyThings I found in my adventures in putting away stuff:
-Portable DVD player left behind by friend and former roommate. She thought she left it at her ex-boyfriend's. It is still rightfully hers.
-Bunch of USB sticks, including an 8GB that was especially sticky. Some kind of rubbery/grippy coating started to break down. Nothing a bit of IPA couldn't handle.
-Boxes of stuff.
-An extra ink cartridge for my printer, after I bought one.
-Software CDs of various things. XP might be abandoned by MS, but I'm not getting rid of my installers.
-Worn out shoes. Oh wait, I was still wearing them.
-Various BDs/DVDs that I had bought at the past several conventions and hadn't put away because my shelves are full.
Things I got to help make the place appear a bit more civilized:
-Folding table, which I then proceeded to pile stuff on for sorting through.
-Cheap barstool kit. It's not too high and it swivels. Maybe a task chair would have been more suitable?
-Basic folding chairs, because my kitchen chairs were cheap to begin with and are falling apart.
-More boxes. I like the double-layer ones more; they can take more weight and don't feel like they're about to burst apart. The single-layer boxes have some severe crumpling at the edges.
-Large plastic tubs for the Lego (that's currently organized into smaller tubs). Small tubs go into big tubs, for double-containment. Because tens of thousands of small pieces spilling out of a large tub is a tragedy I want to avoid.
-Countertop rack-thing I built out of PVC pipe to keep my boxes of tea somewhat organized. Looks pretty good, I dare say.
-Mover's dollies for the things in storage, to make shuffling things around easier.
Things are starting to be in more flux than before.
