May. 31st, 2016 07:42 amHad a couple cracked molars recently. A root canal fixed one of them so far. The other will get done in the next few weeks. In the meantime I'm on a soft-foods diet.
I figured out another reason why it takes me so long to do any kind of cleaning up around here: Going through stuff is like reading my own biography.
Got me one of those big fancy 4k monitors. The upside is I can have more things open and they don't cover each other up as much. And I can have really big pictures (such as from my camera) and not scale down as much. The downside is, the resolution makes text really small. It's worth the trade-off. The video card can handle a total of 4 of those monitors if I want to go crazy.
Meanwhile I have a pile of dead electronics that I need to unload. The stuff that's really obsolete but at least works can be donated to charity. The stuff that is officially broken needs recycled. The county has an e-waste program but the hours of operation are incredibly tight. They don't make it easy to do the right thing.
It's realistically summer and I just haven't been feeling road-trippy yet. Maybe it's the knowledge that I need to do some more cleaning up around here, acting as a deterrent. Maybe it's all the rain we've been getting.
The last couple things to do with Gil's estate are to make sure his pay-as-you-go phone is fully transferred, and then to properly archive his email account. Financially and legally, everything is done.
That's one Big Thing taken care of. There will be other Big Things coming up, so I'll enjoy the respite for now. Yo DJ, spin me some closure music.
