I hadn't thought of it before, but it does make sense now.

The simple pleasures in life, they continue to be accessible to me, even when I don't always notice them. My big green hooded thermal sweatshirt and other warm things that can keep me toasty in the cold, the ability to just set the cruise and lean back while driving a lonely stretch of road late at night, the effect that a good song has on my mind, sharing bad jokes between good friends, full use of my senses and limbs, getting a good paycheck from a job that I can actually like, ice cream, the ability to sleep in almost any condition. And so on.

Speaking of caffeine, the effects of such are wearing off quickly.

Just gotten off the phone with you, i feel so light-hearted, giddy even. Hearing that you're happy (for the most part) with your job and other things in life means so much to me as your friend. And to know that you are happy with my relationship, happy for my happiness, makes my heart soar even higher. I know that we might have had a little fall-back time late last year, but it was bound to happen, and i'm glad that we both came through it, still friends. Always friends =3
