Thunderstorms never scared me. Maybe when I three or so, but in my time of active memory, they became something to watch. The brighter the flash of lightning, the louder the thunder, the better. A power outage would top it off beautifully. The sound of the rain itself was something I found relaxing, the steady sound could lull me right off into dreamland. Any steady noise could, for that matter, like a window fan. Had no trouble falling asleep on car trips, which kinda works against me now that I'm the one doing the driving.
Made a sandwich the other day, with swiss cheese, cajun-style turkey, buffalo style chicken, and topped with hot pepper rings, spicy brown mustard, A-1/tobasco sauce, and a bottled substance I found that's literally called "too fargin' hot". I have named the creation "El Toxico". Best enjoyed with Southern Comfort. Interesting combination, to say the least.
