Well, as it is usually the case, good news and bad news go together. The storm caused a sizable blackout, and made the phone lines all wonky, resulting in a complete inability to get online from home. But, the good news is that work was called off for the day, and I had a nice three-day weekend, used primarily for catching up on much needed sleep. And something else.

Went to the Lego store! Yes, they exist, and in fact have existed for some time now. The nearest one to me is in Potomac Mills, Virginia, which in the grand scheme of things, isn't really that far away from me. The much younger version of me is very satisfied, but mildly disappointed by the fact that the store in question has been open for about 4 years now and I hadn't known. And no, I did not leave empty handed. If any of you do in fact go, be sure to take in the view of the model of the Capitol building, made entirely out of Lego. Quite a breathtaking sight. Wish I had a camera for it. But I know where to go next time.

Green Green #6 is now complete. And the other day, took care of Scrapped Princess #22. That show has turned out to be a fantastic ride. Ever notice how a lot of anime series start out all fun and games, but turn completely serious towards the end? It's like, "we ran out of jokes so now we gotta focus on the plot." It might be too soon to say, but perhaps Scrapped Princess is able to avoid that. On the other hand, something like Saikano was serious and depressing from the get-go, and grew even more depressing as it went on. It was indeed a very good show, but one of the most depressing things I ever saw, even more so than "Now and Then, Here and There" which in turn, made "End of Evangelion" look like an episode of Sesame Street. I would wholeheartedly advise against watching any combination of the above in succession.

Ok, I think I'm done here.

Because it was classified as an "involuntary absence", I still got paid for it.

Some of my coworkers are still without power, my mom and grandmother had to trash assorted things that thawed in the freezer, and my phone line is still messed up.
